Tenmile Creek restoration under way near Copper Mountain
In partnership with local groups, the U.S. Forest Service is leading a project to restore a stretch of the stream that's been seriously degraded by more than 100 years of human manipulation, including mining, logging, historic railroad building and highway construction.

Summit County to get new backcountry ski hut
A new backcountry ski hut has been proposed for the north flank of Baldy Mountain, near Breckenridge, providing access to great powder skiing and within a day's ski of the existing backcountry hut at Boreas Pass.
