We LOVE the Westerlies! More Snow Coming to Copper Mountain

After a week of mild weather, winter returns for the weekend as the westerlies break through to deliver plenty of Pacific Ocean moisture to Copper Mountain and the rest of Colorado. A series of storms starting Thurdsay (Feb. 27) afternoon could dump as much as a foot of snow across the area, with the best snow at higher elevations under relatively warm west winds. A winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service is forecasting 4 to 8 inches of snow by Friday morning, with the biggest totals on higher west-facing slopes.

Snow Sport Retailers are Rockin!

Sales of action cameras, backcountry gear and women's specific crosscountry gear helped propel the snowsports industry to record sales during the first half of the season, according to a press release from SnowSports Industries America. The mid-season report covers sales between Aug. 1 and Dec. 31.
