Santa Claus is Coming to Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain ChristmasIf you're heading to Copper Mountain for the holidays, your kids don't have to worry about missing Santa. The Big Guy will be stopping in at the Summit County ski area several times in the days leading up to Christmas. Appearances are scheduled Dec. 21 - 23, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. each day, along with a final Christmas Eve session (Dec. 24) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a torchlight procession and kids glow-light parade, along with fire dancers and a fireworks display over West Lake in Center Village at 7 p.m.

Here is a partial list of holiday festivities at Copper:

  • Dec 20th - Free live music with Lefty Lucy at Jack's Bar 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. with giveaways during the show.
  • Dec 21 – 22 - Top freeskiers and snowboarders from around the globe compete to qualify for the 2014 Olympics at the Sprint Grand Prix Finals. And there's more live music with Lefty Lucy at Jack’s Bar.
  • Dec 23, 24 and 26 - Live music with John Truscelli in Jack's Bar 3:30 p.m. to 6 p,m. each day with giveaways during the show.
  • Dec 24 - Christmas caroling with the Summit Choral Society Carolers; torchlight parade, bonfires and fireworks, along with a candlight Christmas Ever Service at the Copper Mountain Chapel and Community Church.
