Are Ya Ready for some Copper Country?

Copper CountryGet a last blast of summer at Copper Mountain this weekend, as the Copper Country music festival returns to the Summit County resort with headliners Kenny Loggins and Wynonna Judd. Copper Country runs Aug. 20-31, with free music, an arts festival and goodies for the younger set.

This year's edition of Copper Country continues the tradition of big name headliners. Musical legend and 12-time platinum recording artist Kenny Loggins performs at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, August 30 on the Burning Stones Main Stage. Five-time Grammy award winner Wynonna Judd and band the Big Noise perform at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, August 31 also on the Burning Stones Main Stage. Other musical artists include The Long Players, Savannah Jack and the Blue Sky Riders.

Team Summit, Summit County’s youth ski and snowboard team, host a Colorado Craft Brewing Dinner on Saturday, August 30 at 7 p.m. to benefit the Team Summit Colorado Scholarship Program. Select brews from Ska Brewing of Durango, CO will be paired with a full 4-course meal. Tickets are available for purchase online now, advanced tickets required.

The Arts and Artisan Festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday featuring local and regional artists across Copper’s Center Village. Free activities for the kids such as face painting and arts and crafts are available all weekend long near West Lake Overlook, Center Village.
