Denver Art Museum Offers Free Admission For All Youth

March 29, 2015

denver art museumIf you manage to tear your kids away from their video games and online connections one of these fine spring days, consider a trip to the Denver Art Museum, which is offering free admission to all youth ages 18 and under for the next five years.

The free admission is thanks to a gift from the Reiman Foundation and a grant from Kaiser Permanente Colorado. The Free for Kids program, which will continue through spring 2020, will fund general admission to all children, including school tours and other youth group visits.

This incredible access opportunity also will seed a new transportation fund, underwriting bus trips for Title I schools. Free for Kids funded admission gifts will also enable the museum to cap youth pricing for all special ticketed exhibitions at $5 for the next five years.

Also upcoming at the Denver Art Museum is the 15th annual Uncorked Wine Tasting on April 10, 2015. The Uncorked Wine Tasting is a unique opportunity for you to taste wines from all over the world while supporting the Denver Art Museum. The Wine Tasting will feature over 300 wines that will be accompanied by delicious fare from Kevin Taylor Catering. There also will be fantastic items included in this year’s silent auction. Funds raised through the annual Uncorked weekend will support the museum’s exhibitions and programming. Business casual attire.

Tickets are $90 for DAM members, $125 nonmembers, $45 for designated drivers. First Taste tickets (an additional $35 per person) provide early access starting at 5 pm. Ticket prices increase $10 at the door. Wine Tasting tickets are nonrefundable and include general admission to the museum on April 10, during regular museum hours. Visit denverartmuseum.org/uncorked or call 720-913-0130.
