Going Doggone Wild at Copper Mountain

pet friendly travelCopper Mountain is going doggone wild early this summer with the first-ever Gone to the Dogs 5K/10K event on June 28th. Along with the race, guests and local will enjoy a dog-centered expo. Meet Copper's avalanche rescue dogs, participate in a dock-diving demo, enjoy an off-leash dog play area and take in some live music, with proceeds benefiting the League for Animals and People of the Summit (LAPS).

The summer season officially starts at Copper June 13 with American Eagle scenic chairlift rides, diggler rentals, Summit County’s only go-kart track, bumper boats and paddle boat rentals, bungee jump, climbing wall, mini golf, Alpine Rush Zip Line, and more, located all in Copper’s Center Village.

Copper’s Summer Activity Passes are the best bang for the buck with $44 for an unlimited access day pass and $74 for unlimited season pass. Copper’s Summer Activities will be open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Fridays at Copper are back this summer and include free music, free movies, and free activities.

Simply spend $40 in the Villages’ restaurants and shops to receive free tickets to one of each of Copper’s village activities. Parking is complimentary resort-wide throughout the summer season.



Woodward at Copper Summer Camp and Summer Barn hours kick off on Saturday, June 14 surely to stoke every age and action sport. New this season campers will get faster, easier laps on a new surface lift in Central Park and experience more airtime on a new BagJump NIP. The Woodward at Copper Barn opens for public sessions on Saturday, June 14; then every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer. The Summer Pavilion Park, located in Center Village, filled with more than ten creative terrain park features, will open every Saturday starting June 21, as weather allows. June Copper Mountain Events: 

Powdr Shot, June 21, the first-ever nationwide summer biathlon series that combines trail running, mountain biking and air rifle target range returns to Copper. Race proceeds go toward maintaining clean healthy forests. For more information and to register, visit PowdrShot.com.
