Copper Mountain improving access to high alpine terrain this winter
After significant upgrades to the family and learning side of the resort the last couple seasons, Copper Mountain is focusing on improving the high alpine experience by easing access to the top of the mountain. One of the biggest changes is the replacement of the Storm King Poma with new T-bar to speed skiers and snowboarders to Spaulding Bowl, Upper Enchanted Forest and Copper Bowl.

Tenmile Creek restoration under way near Copper Mountain
In partnership with local groups, the U.S. Forest Service is leading a project to restore a stretch of the stream that's been seriously degraded by more than 100 years of human manipulation, including mining, logging, historic railroad building and highway construction.

Will La Niña return to the Colorado mountains this winter?
Weather experts are looking at the Pacific Ocean to see what the coming winter will bring, and so far, the climate clues are few and far between. But there's a hint that La Niña could return, perhaps bringing plentiful powder to Copper Mountain.
