Copper Mountain Season Pass Sale Starts — Now!
There's still more than a month of skiing left this year, but Colorado resorts have already rolled out pricing for next year's pass products. Copper Mountain announced this week that the regular Copper Mountain season pass will cost $389, and skiers and riders can lock in the best price with $49 down.

Success! U.S. Paralympic Skiers Earn Podium Spots at Sochi
U.S. and Colorado athletes earned podium spots during the first day of competition at the 2014 Paralympic Winter games, with Alana Nichols and Laurie Stephens taking silver and bronze in the women's downhill sitting race. Colorado's Allison Jones won her eighth Paralympic medal and her first downhill medal, as she took bronze in the women's standing class.

Scott Meyer, a 12-year Frisco resident, skis full time for the U.S. Paralympic Team, and is representing Copper Mountain, Colorado and the U.S.A. at the 2014 Sochi Paralympics, which start with the March 7 opening ceremony.

U.S. Forest Service Demolishes Illegal ‘Smoke Shacks’ at Colorado Ski Areas
Ski resorts in Summit County have become a showcase for the conflict between state and federal marijuana laws. In a move that drew widespread attention on social media, the U.S. Forest Service and Vail Resorts dismantled a number illegal "smoke shacks" at Breckenridge, Keystone, Beaver Creek at Vail ski areas.
