Volunteers sought for USA Pro Challenge
Colorado cycling fans have a chance to get up close and personal to the upcoming USA Pro Challenge by volunteering for one of the seven stages of the 600 mile race. Help is needed in Aspen, Snowmass, Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, Beaver Creek, Vail, Fort Collins, Estes Park, Windsor, Loveland and Denver — and from a centrally located Copper Mountain Condo, you could probably get involved in several of the stages.

Copper Mountain to Vail Pass bike path gets a makeover
CDOT is spending nearly $1 million to improve the bike path between Copper Mountain and Vail Pass. Work started in early July, with construction Monday through Thursday. No work is planned during the busy weekend, when hundreds of cyclists test themselves on the five-mile section, climbing about 1,500 feet to the crest of the Rockies.

Especially in years when the monsoon delivers daily afternoon thunderstorms, thousands of mushrooms start to sprout alongside the trails. Some people just walk on by, barely noticing, others deliberately knock them over, finding them as distasteful as slugs. Cycling, disc golf and free concerts at Copper Mountain
The Copper Mountain events schedule heats back up July 19 with a free Rob Drakin concert to kick of the Children's Hospital Courage Classic weekend (July 20-22), when cyclists tackle a 157 mile trek through Summit County. Individual and team fundraising efforts benefit the Children's Hospital Colorado, followed by a late July art fair.

Stargazing at Copper Mountain
Far from city street lamps, glaring strip malls and stadium lighting, the mountains around Copper have some of the darkest skies in the state, which makes it the perfect place for an evening of star gazing. If you're visiting from a hazy city in the Midwest or East, be sure to take your kids outside after dark for what could be the best look at the Milky Way they've ever had. And if your visit coincides with one of the periodic meteor showers that grace the skies with streaking fireballs, so much the better,

There’s nothing like Independence Day in the mountains of Colorado

The renowned Wanderlust Festival is coming to the Copper, coinciding with the Independence Day holiday, and offering some calming activities to balance all the holiday excitement, including standup paddleboard yoga, Qi yoga and slackline yoga.
