After long winters, it’s always the spring skiing, riding and festivities at Copper Mountain that remind us how any cold temperatures we endured were all worth it to provide a solid, deep base of snow for a long spring of either warm, bluebird days or fresh powder days.

Squeeze the last snow out of the season
Last weekend, Copper Mountain received 25 inches of new snow in two days. Since then, it has flurried, and this Friday, the Weather Channel is calling for a 70 percent chance of snow and some wind, so gear up for a powder day, and skip the slow traffic commute on I-70 by booking a condo at Copper Mountain for the weekend.

For the 28th year, Copper Mountain hosts the Special Olympics, Sunday, Feb. 28. Athletes from age 2 to adults will compete in skiing and snowboarding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing at Copper.
