After long winters, it’s always the spring skiing, riding and festivities at Copper Mountain that remind us how any cold temperatures we endured were all worth it to provide a solid, deep base of snow for a long spring of either warm, bluebird days or fresh powder days.

Squeeze the last snow out of the season

Last weekend, Copper Mountain received 25 inches of new snow in two days. Since then, it has flurried, and this Friday, the Weather Channel is calling for a 70 percent chance of snow and some wind, so gear up for a powder day, and skip the slow traffic commute on I-70 by booking a condo at Copper Mountain for the weekend.

Is Super El Niño Coming To Colorado?

A developing Pacific El Niño is already affecting weather patterns across the western U.S., including record spring rain and snow in Colorado, where several weather stations reported the all-time wettest month on record for any year. Many more stations recorded records for May precipitation.
